Oakey Downs is an exciting equestrian facility offering a large range of equine services, the Top End does not have any other equestrian centre with so much to offer  the horse enthusiast.

 

Oakey Downs offers  an opportunity to riders and their horses to  enjoy a variety of events organized throughout  the year. These events range from a day to a week . Any event people request we will try to facilitate.

Riding lessons
 

Oakey Downs offers guided scenic trail rides in the Northern Territory bush on the comfort of your own horse. ​

 Riding lessons are available or trail rides on Oakey Downs Horses by appointment and dependant on your skill level.​​

We encourage and support all disciplines of horsemanship  for adults and kids, intermediate to experienced riders (trail rides) and beginners.

Riding Lesson/Trail ride start at $60.00/hour

Facility For Hire

 CLinics :

Introduction to horsemanship, Natural horsemanship, Parelli Instructors , Mustering , Confidence clinics, Ground work and relationship building

 

Challenging events: 

Orienteering, Stockmans  challenge , Mustering education, Scenic trails, Cross country, Cowmanship, Team penning, Obstacle challenge, extreme cowboy challenge.

 

Other events: 

Team Penning, Kids party's, School holiday program's, Kids events , Treasure hunts, Outback Trail riding, Riding lessons
